Nikoletta Koukourouvli graduated from the Department of Environmental Studies of the University of the Aegean as an Environmental Cartographer and received her MSc in Geography and Applied Geoinformatics from the Department of Geography of the University of the Aegean.

She is a member of the Cartography and Geoinformatics Laboratory since 2005.

She has participated in 14 projects focusing in GIS, Geographic Databases and Web Cartography.
