Antonis Velegrakis is Professor of Marine Geology Department of the University of the Aegean.
He has participated as project leader / principal investigator in numerous European and National Competitive research programs on Coastal Oceanography and morphodynamics has extensive published scientific project on the study of coastal natural processes (> 100 papers in International Journals, Scientific Publications and Conference Proceedings).
He is a consultant of the United Nations Environment Organisation (UNEP) and the UN European Economic Commission (UNECE) on issues of coastal erosion and climate change.
